Steps

1. Type the address yourself

   Open a fresh browser window and type Discover’s web address into the address bar. Do not click links from emails, texts, ads, or unknown sites.

2. Check the address bar

   Confirm you see a secure connection (padlock) and the correct spelled-out domain.

3. Sign in

   Use your existing Discover account credentials.

4. Find the activation option

   Look in your account dashboard and follow the prompts.

Red flags

• Domain is misspelled or has extra words.
• Page asks for full SSN, PIN, or one-time codes it did not send.
• Layout looks slightly off compared to the app or previous visits.

If anything looks wrong, switch to phone activation.
