Why phone activation

It is the hardest method for scammers to imitate. You dial a number that is physically printed on your card, so no fake link can redirect you.

Steps

1

Find the activation number

Look at the sticker on the front of the card, or the number on the back.
2

Call from your registered phone

Calling from the phone number on file speeds up verification.
3

Follow the automated prompts

You will enter your card number and confirm identity details.
4

Wait for confirmation

Stay on the line until the system says the card is active.

Tips

  • Have your card, date of birth, and last 4 of your SSN ready.
  • If the call drops, hang up and dial again. Do not call back an unknown number that claims to be your issuer.
